Whew! We started working with T charts and box outlines. We’ll jump into using them to create a paper and see where there are holes… I’m betting with the students that we have, there won’t be many!

We’ll go over signal phrases and great hooks/conclusions, etc.

Next week, we’ll continue our discussion with practice, practice, practice. there will be minimal work and it will depend on the student’s productivity in class. For instance today (2/4) time was given to create a T chart and box outline, students may or may not have finished it. Tomorrow in class we will be typing them up and submitting to DWA to see what the scores are…. This will prepare us for DWAs, End of Levels, high school papers and college papers! It is definitely a worth while thing to do!
