English Advisory/Disclosure Document
Purpose
● To provide further support for learning, especially in English 7

Requirements
Please come every day ready to work on assignments, including but not limited to:
● English assignments, such as:
○ Memorizing poems
○ Home practice of concepts taught in class
○ Book report book
● Math homework
● Science fair
● Humanities assignments
● Character development assignments
Grade
In this class, you will receive a grade daily. The grade is based on participation preparedness. You will receive a letter grade for advisory class that will affect your GPA and eligibility to participate in SAA extra curricular activities such as cross country, volleyball, student government, tech crew, basketball, et cetera. You will also receive a citizenship score based on behavior.
Expectations
● Come prepared every day
● Must be in seat and working at the time the bell rings
● Work through the entire period
● Refrain from off-task behaviors such as but not limited to: talking, walking about the room, staring at the wall, and writing notes to your BFFs.
Hall Passes
● In order to leave you must have a hall pass
● The hall pass must be acquired before the advisory period begins
● The hall pass is for the purpose of visiting another teacher’s room in order to get specific help from that teacher. For example, you might leave when a science lab makeup is being conducted.
● You must have a valid, current, signed hall pass to be outside of your advisory.
