The Week of 9/16, there will be spelling for 8th graders and Greek and Latin roots for 9th graders due on Friday. There is an argumentative article due on Wednesday, as there is every week.
We will be finishing up argumentative writing and the test/paper that is due on Tuesday. Each student should have gotten this assignment on Thursday and it was explained. However, if not, there is a copy of it attached to 8th and 9th grade English.
We will begin doing short stories this week. It will be a crash course- discussing mostly the structure of short stories. We will hopefully have time to read one short story to tie it all together and then write a paper comparing it to a couple of articles.
