Christmas Carol

Scrooge-238x300

So… we’re an art school, right?  We promote the arts?  Haha!  I have always lived with the arts as a part of my life.  In fact, I pretty much grew up in the Terrace Plaza Playhouse performing there for about 9 years from 13 to 22, doing countless shows.  Within the last couple of years, I’ve found it in me to get myself back on the stage, and I will be performing this holiday season in their production of a Christmas Carol; the heart-warming tale of Ebenezer Scrooge and his transformation from a wicked old man, to someone who truly embraces the childlike spirit of Christmas.

This is my formal invite to all of you, parents and students alike.  I know from previous years that the kids just love coming to see it, especially when they get to see me in it, dancing and singing.  I’ve more or loss lost count of the number of parts I’ve been given.  I am Currier, one of the men who collects funds for the poor, and gets the cold shoulder from Scrooge.  I’m the Escort for Christmas Past, who dances a bit of, very loosely put, ballet.  I am the ensemble in several other scenes.  I am all of these parts in every show.  I am also Mr. Fezziwig, Young Ebenezer’s boss in the past, but I am only this part in what is known as the Ivy Cast.  So if you choose to come, you can see me perform every night, with one extra solo part in the Ivy Cast.  All show times are at 7:30.  Listed at the bottom of the post are the performance dates for the different casts.

In no way is this an assignment, just an invite to what could be a great family outing for the holiday season.  hopefully I’ll see some of you there!

One Response to Christmas Carol

    (“Mr.”= Aaron)

    Dear “Mr.” Pratt,
Thanks for being a great teacher. The times we had together were fun. Like the time we did the X-mas gingerbread houses, or watching time warp. Good times, good times. And even after you dumped me in the garbage can at terrace, I still forgave you (sorry but you hoodie strings are irresistible). But anyway I just wanted to thank you for being a great teacher and friend. Thanks =D.
    From,
    Devon
