Each of the spelling lists is divided into three different categories: Regular, Advanced, and Expert. Everyone will have to study the “Regular” words. Based on the beginning of the year spelling inventory, some students will be put into the other groups. If a student has been put into the “Advanced” group, they will study and be tested on the “Regular” and “Advanced” words. If a student is placed into the “Expert” group, then they will study and be tested on all 20 words.
