Dear Santa,
My name is Serenity and I’m eleven years old. Christmas is one of my favorite holidays. Not because of the presents, but because of the wonderful family experiences. I love how on Christmas Eve I set up the tree with my family and we put all of the ornaments on. As we go through the ornaments, we see pictures and memories of our family and I’ll point and shout, “I remember that!” Then on Christmas day, I’ll wake up at three in the morning, sneak out of my room and look at all the huge presents under the tree. My mom will come out and say, “Serenity, what are you doing?” “I love you, mom,” I’ll say as I run up and hug her.
For Christmas, I want somethings for others. I want some money so I can donate it to charities. Some kids can’t afford food. Then I want jobs so everyone can have one. Some people can’t get hired, so if there were more jobs for everyone, then no one would need to worry. For my last request, I want homes for everyone. Some people have to live in their cars and others don’t have anything so they live camping. If everyone had a home, they could live happily together and they could have the same Christmas experience I have.
You might be able to get what I want, and you might not… all I want is a miracle.
Love,
Serenity
