L.A. : We are starting a new story this week, Airborn. To fit into our curriculum calendar, we will be starting and finishing this story this week. We will be working with Reader’s Notebook pages 171, 173, 174, 175, 176, and 177. The vocabulary skill for this week is figures of speech. This includes sayings like “I’m all ears,” where if taken literally they mean something completely different than we actually mean when we say them. Our vocab words are pictured below. Our five focus words are supple, taut, careening, undulating, and jostled.
Science: This week we will be spending our two days of rotations reviewing. The Moon Phases and Seasons test will be given sometime on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday. My homeroom will be taking it on Wednesday.
