Gingerbread Houses

One of our behavior incentives in class is a marble jar they fill by earning points throughout the day.  Once it is full, they have earned a class party.  We have decided to use this Friday to celebrate our having filled the marble jar by building gingerbread houses.  I was thinking, kind of like this:

gingerbread house jokeWhat do you think? It’d make a beautiful centerpiece for your table!

Seriously though, we are going to be building them.  I usually supply the students with a milk carton for a base that they can use frosting and graham crackers to build around.  From there, they can decorate it with candies however they see fit.  Here are some examples from previous years.

Kameron Kourtney WynterNow here is what I need help with….supplies.  More specifically, candy and frosting.  I have already purchased plates, and several boxes of graham crackers, so we should be fine with that, but if you are able, could you please donate other items we could use to build our houses.  Students could start bringing supplies as early as Monday, but please make sure they have them here by Thursday so I know if there is anything I need to purchase that night.

Thank you in advance for anything you will be able to supply to help us out.
