EVERYONE HAS TO CREATE THEIR OWN COSTUME FOR THIS SCENE out of a sheet!! I want MANY different colored sheets! Please be on the lookout at the DI or at home or anywhere! I want to see all the sheets that you intend to design into your costume by Friday December 6.
***ANY PARENT WHO CAN—some parents will have a harder time designing these for their kids…who can help with minor sewing for others or help them design their sheet into a costume..??
I envision simple stuff with leggings or shorts and a tshirt under it…just wrapping it around them in a clever way…look up Egyptian Gods images online and get ideas
Please add any gold accessories…as many as you can!
So…is there any parent willing to oversee and help me be sure the costumes for this scene happen?
Also…I think Mallory was going to design and decorate 2 fake boats out of sheets…is that right? need any help?
Also by December 5, I need anyone who wants to design the poster for the poster contest to turn in designs by then:

Performance Theatre Announcements
Hi!
I am so excited to have your students in my class this year!
Please read the information below.
1: I have started a blog where students can visit to read and be reminded of assignments and upcoming events/rehearsal schedule. My goal is that I can get to a place where you as parents and students make a habit of visiting my blog regularly to stay updated on this type of information. As a participation grade for your student, I am asking that they visit my blog, click on Musical Theatre on the right side of the page, click on comments at the bottom of the assignment box, and then leave a comment for me to show me that they have visited my blog. I am asking that they post this comment by September 24. My blog address is:
blogs.syracuseartsacademy.org/mburke
2: Please take the time to write me a reply to this email so that I can verify that you are receiving my emails and are aware of all that has been included in this email.
3: Our first parent/teacher conference days are approaching quickly. They will be September 25 and 26. Please contact me in advance if you would like to set up a time to meet with me as I must set up my schedule for those days in ahead of time. I will notify you if there are any problems which need to be discussed in advance, however, I feel that everyone is doing a great job participating at this time.
4: This year I will be creating SAA’s second annual evening of One Acts. The rehearsals/performances are required for your students as part of their grade. Our show will be Thursday Jan. 10 and Friday Jan. 11. Please set aside that Mon/Tues/Wed (afternoon/evening) also for dress rehearsals. We will begin having Friday practices from 1-2:30 weekly as of Oct. 11. I hope to set up initial practices for scenes during some of the PTC time. Please keep all of these things in mind, and please contact me if you have any concerns.
Thanks!
