Melissa Burke is an accomplished performer and instructor.  Melissa has her BFA in Musical Theatre and studied at New York University, Webster Conservatory, and East Carolina University.   She has performed in regional theatre productions such as Sweeney Todd at the WaterTower Theatre in Dallas, TX, has performed with The North Carolina Theatre, and she has done several roles in Shakespeare productions through the Carolinian Shakespeare Festival.  She has also recently performed in The Sound of Music and Ragtime at Hale Centre Theatre.  Melissa is a recording artist with an inspirational album which was distributed through Deseret Book Company and iTunes entitled “The Gift of God in You.”  For the last 11 years, Melissa has been running her own business privately coaching performers in their acting and singing through Melissa Burke Vocal and Acting Studio.  She is now the instructor for the theatre classes and choir here at Syracuse Arts Academy.
