The junior high student body officers and cheerleaders have invited 5th and 6th grade to participate in their canned food drive. The SBOs and cheerleaders will then deliver the canned food to the shelter and spend a day volunteering with them. I am always happy to support other organizations within our school, so I said we’d love to participate before I knew, but they have also given us the carrot for incentive that the winning classes (however they decide to break them up) will receive a pie party. The collection will last from Monday, December 2 through Thursday, December 12. Please give what you can. Even if there was no incentive, or even if we don’t win the prize, it’s still a great cause. I once heard that the donations given around the holiday season are what support them throughout the entire year. Let’s be a part of the solution by helping these people in need.
