Protista Project, please pick one of the following for your project. Projects are due the 20th of December.

Close reading section 3 found on page 542. When finished please finish lab questions from yesterdays lab. The lab is due at the end of the period.

Test today on Bacteria, Fungi, Viruses and Archaea. When finished with test we continued working on protista project.

10 stations lab rotations for chemical and physical changes. If you are absent today you will only have one week to make it up. The last day for makeup will be December 19th.

Law of Conservation of mass- says that mass is not created or destroyed in             ordinary p and c reactions.

Physical change- a change of matter from 1 form to another a change in chemical properties.

Physical changes in nature ex- rock eroding, water freezing.

Heterotroph- can’t make their own food; have to eat other organisms

Autotroph- make their own food-plants

parasite-invades another organism to get nutrients.

Host-an organism from which parasites takes food/ shelter.
