Started heredity lesson by making a concept map about Gregor Mendel.

Also, I handed out a paper copy of the test students took yesterday with their wrong  questions circled.  They need to correct ONLY the questions circled in purple ink and then turn it in before Friday Jan. 10.  They will receive half credit for each correct answer.mendel notes

We did 3 virtual labs from our online book for a review of this quarter’s objectives . Each student needs to fill out the questions from worksheet for credit.

Vascular-conducting tissues, xylem, and phloem

No seeds like fern they have what is called sori.

Gymnosperm- woody seeds not in fruit.

Angiosperm- flowers seeds in a fruit.

Today students separated Hydrogen and Oxygen from water in a lab  called electrolysis. There was a handout with questions that need to be answered, which we will do together as a group.

If you need to make this up you need to talk to Mrs. Gailey to set a time.

7th grade

Today students watched a clip from Planet Earth Jungles where fungi were attacking and killing insects.

Students had guided notes and watched a power point on plants.  They turned in their guided notes at the end of class today.
