We spent time in the lab doing two labs: One on conduction and one on convection currents.

Today we simulated transverse waves with jump ropes outside. Also we continued our notes on waves and watched a video clip.

7th grade
Today students graded and turned in their lab safety drawings. Attached is the rubric used to grade the drawings.
Interview a Scientist project was introduced today. The students get to choose in which format they would like to present their information. It could be a booklet, pamphlet, typed paper, power point, tv interview etc. Be creative!
It will be due in a few weeks from now. I will post the exact date tomorrow.
8th grade
Today students finished up their mechanical wave notes and took new notes on electromagnetic waves.
The 8 vocabulary words from yesterday are to be completed on the Frayer model paper which is due on Sept. 18
