• got into groups for a new assignment
• chose poets to do a research project on

It was a lot of fun!

Today we:

• Wrote a story that includes 1. a birthday party, 2. a car, and 3., a dog.
• We shared our stories and
• learned about haiku. Everyone wrote a haiku and they were collected for a grade at the end of class.

Today we wrote a story that included the words: vindicate, abhor, and muse. Then we shared them. It was a lot of fun!

Today we shared out song parodies! It was a lot of fun!

Today we worked on our SONG PARODY assignment with partners. If you didn’t bring in a print out of the lyrics to the original song today, then please bring them in tomorrow, as you will be graded on whether or not you brought them in!

Today We:

• Played “creative writing telephone!” If you were absent, you will need to get 2 other students to make up the activity with you

Due Monday:

• Expansion stories are due Monday! Get them finished!

Today we continued drafting our expansion stories. The due date is Monday 2 December 2013. Please have your expansion finished by then. The word count expectation for each grade is thus:

7th: 8,000 words total

8th: 10,000 words total

9th: 12,000 words total

7th: 4,000 words

8th: 5,000 words

9th: 6,000 words
