Art foundations 1 will be learning the process of Sumi-e and making orchid plants with flowers in the ink on paper technique.
The Sumi-e process in class includes meditative ink grinding, as well as practice work to show improvement. Read “sumi-e, good design” for more information.
We will learn about the four seasons, or gentlemen. They are the orchid, bamboo, plum branches, and chrysanthemum.
This project is due on white paper with at least three values of orchid leaves and one or more flowers on Thursday, 10/10/2013.
