SAA Jr High Art

Welcome Parents and Students,

My name is Ms. Deanna Reeves, and I am the Jr. high art teacher at SAA.

I’d like to take this opportunity to tell you a few things about myself both personally and professionally.

I was born in Utah, and have lived in Texas, Connecticut, Switzerland, England, and Norway. Two of my three children were born in Switzerland. I speak German, enjoy traveling, and have visited more than 20 countries.

My art and education experience is extensive. I attended the University of Utah, did a summer abroad in London, and got my Masters of Arts in Teaching at Westminster College. I have done graphic design work, art editing and photography for magazines, and taught art at the American International School of Zurich. My artwork has been displayed in numerous art shows including international exhibits. I published a photographic book call Portrait of Antelope Island.

Art course work includes the elements of art, principles of design, evaluating art, and the application of different techniques and materials. The combining of student’s unique ideas and experiences into the core curriculum (required teaching material) can create exciting artistic results. I love teaching art.
